Do you want to turn on the radio and start to dance frenetically around your living room? So, let me introduce Metric. This is a new wave/indie rock band that was formed in 1998 in New York City, United States. They are currently based in Canada. Emily Haines is the heart of Metric, she's also perform with Broken Social Scene and released a solo album under the name Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton. They new album "Fantasies (2009)" is the long awaited follow up album to 2005's "Live It Out". I wasn't a big fan of Metric before, but Emiliy Haines and her band really grow up in this new record. A strong indie rock album with little electronic touches. 5 Stars.
Best Songs:"Help I'm Alive","Sick Muse", "Satellite Mind"and "Gimme Sympathy".
Let's start again. A long, long, long time ago there was a kingdom and a pure girl lived there. She walked around the trees with her cats, parrots and dogs. She had empathy for all creatures there, including aliens from other planets and all poisonous herbs. This girl was me.
